New Radio Show for Spanish-speaking Farm Working Communities

The Northwest Center for Alternatives to Pesticides (NCAP) has a partnership with Radio La Ley that has grown into a new Radio Show. “Raíces Resilientes: Voces del campo” is a Spanish-language project on the air starting in October.

NCAP staff Tommy Díaz and Ana Elisa Wilson will be co-hosts and plan to discuss critical issues affecting rural Latinx communities, i.e., pesticide exposure, climate crisis effects like heat & smoke waves, and community health.

Each episode will include a special guest chatting with NCAP co-hosts and having culturally relevant discussions. They will also highlight the work of partner organizations and community leaders in the Oregon and Washington state region and connect listeners to their events and resources.

NCAP is grateful for these important partnerships to help reach Latinos in the region, especially to Radio La Ley for helping expand their bilingual programming.
