The Building Industry in Oregon is experiencing a worker shortage. Oregon Tradeswomen, a Portland nonprofit organization, produces their annual Career Fair to connect career seekers with job openings, apprenticeship, and other training opportunities with local companies and organizations.
This hands-on event, now in its 27th year, offers an introduction to the jobs, skills, and benefits of a career in the trades. Participants can learn new skills in hands-on workshops, try out tools and equipment, meet employers, talk with successful trades-women, make things to take home, and find out about debt-free career training opportunities.
